Good day to all! Today I would like to tell you my story of acquiring a puppy. I have long dreamed of a West Highland White Terrier breed, but for several years it was not possible to get such a handsome man. In 2019, I was finally ready to buy a puppy of this breed and began to look for a breeder. The main thing for me was:

Puppy health;

The presence of all documents;

Good pedigree;

Price.

I considered the possibility of further breeding my pet, and therefore I wanted to be sure that she would meet all breed standards. Another nuance was the acquisition only in Belarus, as I could not go abroad.

My budget was limited: I was counting on an amount of about $ 400-500. I looked at such offers on bulletin boards.

Perhaps it was fate, but on the very first day I found the breeder of my beautiful girl. I really liked the description of the announcement, the photos, the puppies themselves. Before starting the choice, I got acquainted with the features of the West standard and knew what to pay attention to. I also consulted with a friend from the world of breeders about what you need to know.

I started correspondence in the messenger and even more convinced of the correctness of my choice. The breeder was very pleasant, polite in communication. Anticipated my questions and concerns in advance. Thus, in just a couple of hours I already agreed on a personal meeting with the puppies.

After a couple of days, we went to another city and, as a result, booked a puppy, made an advance payment. Many can say that it is very hasty and dangerous, that you should see several nurseries, breeders. I don’t know, maybe so, but for some reason I was 100% sure of the breeder, her producers and puppies.

Now my girl's name is Penny. She is almost a year old. We bought it with the right to breed for $ 350. Yes, someone will say that it is very cheap, but expensive does not always mean quality. Experts of the breed have watched our Westik more than once and noted its pure breed.

With my story, I wanted to show that you need to choose not only on the basis of how the puppies look, but also on which breeder sells them. It is important that you enjoy communicating with this person and that he inspires confidence in you. In our case, everything ended well. I would also like to say that the puppy’s not always high price means its absolute pedigree. Sometimes a puppy from a small nursery for a low price can become a future champion.
