At the time of this writing, more than 2 million cases of a new “crown” have been recorded in the world. People are increasingly seized by panic, fear and horror for themselves, their loved ones, the future. In such circumstances, myths, delusions spread very quickly. Once on the Internet, a headline appears that dogs and cats also have a coronavirus, as people began to shun their pets, to see them as a threat. But they didn’t even understand that dogs and cats have their own subtypes of coronavirus, which are completely DANGEROUS for humans!
It became known that a “weakly positive” test for a new type of coronavirus infection in Pomeranian was recorded in Hong Kong. Scientists are trying to convey that this does not mean that dogs and cats are carriers. This is just an isolated case. If domestic animals could pass on the “crown”, just imagine what scale all of this would have already taken! For now, we can only wait for the exact research and statements of scientists in this regard.
Instead of panicking, let's try together to find useful tips on how (just in case) to protect your animal and, of course, yourself.
How to protect your pet from coronavirus:
If you have a small, decorative dog that walks perfectly in the diaper to the toilet, you should not take her out to the street at all.
Walk on the street, try to exercise early in the morning and late in the evening. Choose a watch when there are as few people as possible on the street.
Do not walk in places where contact with other people is possible (in conditions of strict quarantine - and with animals).
Prohibit your pet from picking anything from the ground.
Be sure to remove animal excrement. This, of course, needs to be done not in a pandemic, but we still recall.
Wash your hands immediately when you return home.
The leash and collar of the animal can be treated with an antiseptic.
Wipe the paws of the caudate with an antiseptic, antibacterial wipes. And it’s better to just wash it thoroughly with soap or zoo shampoo (antibacterial agents can dry the delicate skin on the legs).
No need to water your pet with an antiseptic! No need to wash it completely every day! So, you only harm him and completely wash away the natural protective cover of his skin and coat!
Important! Take care in advance of what you will do if you have a coronavirus detected. You must have helpers who take care of the animal, walk, temporary maintenance.
Unfortunately, more and more cases of abandonment on the streets, euthanasia of healthy animals are recorded. Please do not panic. After all, our smaller brothers are also a full-fledged part of our life! Do not drop them, but fight the virus together during this difficult time!
