One day, a girl was interested in buying an elite British Shorthair kitten. Very pleasant and sociable, asked a lot about the nature of the pet and its health, whether all vaccinations were made and other procedures by age. Documents of origin were also of interest, which cannot but please the real breeder of the breed. After all, it is important to find out at least some general information on the Internet, about the characteristics of the breed, its nature, and what the representatives of this breed should be by standard, and also what to look for when a breeder provides documents for a kitten. This is general knowledge. Responsibility for choosing a breed lies with the buyer. The advantage of such a buyer is that he is initially ready to ask the right questions.

Having made an appointment, after receiving the documents for the cat, the girl and her husband arrived to take the cat Lucky home. I really liked the future owner of the cat, and there was no thought that an unpleasant situation could happen. However, it is sometimes useful to listen to fears or events that precede the purchase of an animal. Before picking up Lucky, the girl said that she was very scared for making the baby really comfortable living at her place ... These words crept into memory, and not in vain.

1 week has passed since the purchase of the cat. Each breeder is very pleased to receive news from the buyer: how is their blood flow doing, does everything work out with a new tray, with a new environment, is there any stress from moving. The girl called and said in an alarming voice that she could not cope, there was fear that Lucky would be left alone at home and miss them at a time when everything at work that he was crying, because under his eyes tears had run down. My task is to calm and sort things out in order to understand their fears, and here are some of them:

1. The cat was taken over the weekend. 2 days for dating. Addiction to a new environment in a kitten of small age occurs instantly, it is enough to play it with a rope with a mouse.
2. The British often have leaking eyes after eating. After all, the sinuses are too close to the eyes. Any veterinarian will be able to confirm that this is normal.
3. Any baby, whether it be a kitten, puppy or child, needs to be educated and adjusted to your daily schedule, your habits and your interests. Therefore, taking a baby, not everything at once can add up simply and easily.

Having reassured the girl with these points, I was sure that everything would go well, that these misunderstandings would work out in the family. However, after 2 weeks the buyer called again, but already in order to ask to return the kitten.

There were no complaints about his behavior (he is affectionate and clean), but the girl cannot take responsibility for the baby. Despite the fact that returning the cat back is also stressful, I decided to personally speak with the girl. As it turned out, she has a big trouble that she carries all her life: she cannot be a mother. And for her, for some reason, becoming a kitten's mom seemed impossible too. It’s hard for me to judge people, because I have children. You need to give a chance to yourself and your baby to live life to the fullest with their problems and hardships. So, when you decide to take a kitten, understand that they took it and then returned it, and it doesn’t matter at all why it happened, he already understood what it means to be abandoned.

Such a story, I hope, will teach people to responsibly approach the issue of acquiring a pet, comparing the pros and cons, deciding the living conditions and sorting out themselves.
