The history of the Caraket breed began in the zoo of the city of Moscow. There, in one of the enclosures, a representative of Caracal lived. Of course, simple, domestic cats moved freely around the park. With one of them, a wild cat mated. The result was a surprisingly beautiful kitten with a bright, "trot" appearance. Unfortunately, hybrid cats were completely barren. Because of this fact, their breeding was not possible.

The next attempt, by the way, very successful, took place in the United States. It was there that a breeder named Joy Geisinger tried to breed a stable breed. Her work was recognized by the international organization TICA, however, unfortunately, after the death of Joy, the work was completely completed.

The next milestone in the development of the cat again became Russia. Here the famous doctor Irina Nazarova painstakingly worked on the development of the species. She managed to get more than 50 absolutely healthy Caraket individuals.
