The origin of the breed began quite recently, namely at the beginning of our century. Breeders thought out the image of the future breed with its exact characteristics. Key criteria were hanging ears and hairless cover.

Felinologist Biryukova E.V. completely determined the base of the future species and began breeding.

The history of the Ukrainian Levkoy breed and its development were rather quickly crowned with success. After only 6 years of breeding activities, the breed was allowed to participate in exhibitions in Ukraine and Russia.

Levko description

To obtain the desired image, the genes of the Don Sphynx and the Scottish Fold were used. As a result, the cat turned out very elegant, thin and graceful.

His body is closer to small size, thin, but athletic. Chest oval.

Limbs, as well as legs, elongated and mobile. The tail is long and thin.

The head has a wedge-shaped form, rather long rather than wide. The forehead is almost invisible, in contrast to the clear superciliary arches and cheekbones.

Ears, the main distinguishing feature of the breed, can be both curved and straight. A straight-eared cat is a leftist straight. Curved, they can be half or 1/3.

Almond-shaped eyes can be of any color, but bright and saturated shades are more desirable.

It is often not necessary to bathe, only as far as pollution or in the case of special love of the animal to water. Regular wiping of the body with wet wipes will be sufficient.
