The breed takes its name from the Latin "mastinus", which literally translates to "horse-horse". This definition reflects the size of the animal. The ancient Romans used them not only for protection, but also for battles.

The animal needs constant communication with the owner, but does not require a lot of activities, it is enough for him to be near and go for a walk. Mastiff Care
